Sunderland is looking at a possible move for Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu. The 21-year-old Ghanaian is valued at around £30m and is seen as one of Leicester’s top players. Sunderland has held early talks but hasn't made a bid yet, as the price and deal could be tough to manage.

The Black Cats have already spent heavily this summer, with their transfer total reaching £141.5m, almost breaking Nottingham Forest’s record of £142m for a promoted club in 2022.

Their new arrivals include:

• Defender Nordi Mukiele from PSG
• Midfielder Granit Xhaka from Arsenal
• Winger Simon Adingra from Brighton
• Midfielder Habib Diarra from Strasbourg.

Fatawu joined Leicester on loan from Sporting Lisbon. He played a key role in winning their 2024 Championship title. The team later signed him permanently, but he missed most of the 2024�?5 season with a serious knee injury.

Manchester United have made a fresh bid for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, with a £70m deal that includes £65m in set pay and add-ons. The Cameroon forward, who scored 20 goals last season, wants the move. United want to close the deal fast so he can join their U.S. tour next week.

Ruben Amorim, the new head coach, sees Mbeumo as key and wants him in the squad soon. United had an old bid turned down, but the new offer meets Brentford’s price. If the deal works out, Mbeumo will be their third new player, after Matheus Cunha and Diego León.

At the same time, City have signed Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg for £12.5m. The 18-year-old Norwegian midfielder said, ‘There is already a special connection between Norway and Manchester City through Erling Haaland and Oscar Bobb.�?/p>

United also want Nicolas Jackson, while Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia are set to leave.
