As the match went on, Jelena Čanković netted two goals for Brighton, adding to their lead. Katie McCabe made a costly error, letting Kiko Seike race through to score the fourth goal. Arsenal scored a consolation goal late in injury time from Mariona Caldentey, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome. The Red Devils booked their place in next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) qualification after a 2-2 draw with Manchester City on May 4 at Old Trafford for the Women’s Super League (WSL). Grace Clinton and Melvine Malard scored for United, which helped the team come back from a two-goal deficit.

City struck early with Laia Aleixandri scoring the game’s first goal. Soon after, Rebecca Knaak slotted a second that gave City full control. United didn’t give up, however, as Clinton scored 2-1 before the first half ended.

The match stayed tight in the second half, as Malard scored an equaliser. City still pushed forward, with the ball in their possession for 60% of the match. Shortly after, Aoife Mannion received a red card for a bad foul, which left United with 10 players. Still, the event did not stop them from holding their defensive game strong to keep the match at 2-2.

The WSL is down to its final match day on May 11. Third-place Man Utd will host second-place Arsenal, while league leaders Chelsea face Liverpool. The UWCL is set to return in June 2025, starting with the first qualifying round.

Jasmine Matthews had a tough game, scoring two own goals that quickly added to Arsenal’s lead. The Reds, who had won their last two matches, failed to break through the Gunners�?solid defence.

Chelsea Women continued their dominant run in the Women’s Super League (WSL) with a 3-1 win over Leicester City at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday, March 5. This victory gave them an 8-point lead over Manchester United, their closest contender in the league.

Arsenal Women pulled off a stunning comeback to defeat West Ham United Women 4-3 in a thrilling Women’s Super League (WSL) match at Meadow Park on Sunday, March 2. The Gunners were trailing 3-1 early in the second half but overcame it with three goals in six minutes.

West Ham’s early dominance

West Ham started the match strongly, with defender Amber Tysiak scoring twice from the corners in the opening 12 minutes. She headed in Viviane Asseyi's cross at seven minutes and scored another goal five minutes later, putting West Ham 2-0 ahead.

However, Arsenal managed to pull one back before halftime when Chloe Kelly netted a goal. This was her first since rejoining the club. Thanks to Mariona Caldentey's cross, they reduced the deficit to 2-1.

The Irons extended their lead early in the second half. Shekiera Martinez navigated past Arsenal's Steph Catley and Daphne Van Domselaar and scored 3-1. Despite their strong attack early on, West Ham struggled to contain Arsenal's second-half comeback.

The introduction of Stina Blackstenius pressured West Ham's defence, leading to three conceding goals from the Gunners.
